WP Connects was founded by Talisha Lewallen in July of 2022.
Talisha is passionate about helping and supporting our United States military personnel. Her family and friends that serve/did serve in the military are a large reason for that passion. She has a lifelong friend who’s currently a Major in the US Airforce. Per her family, Talisha has a sister and brother-in-law who were both Linguists in the Airforce, along with a brother who’s a Marine. In addition, she had two grandfathers who served. One who was in the Navy, and another who was in the Airforce.
She’s seen her family struggle as they transition back into civilian life. All these people she’s loved were highly trained in their military careers, but their skills didn’t translate over into civilian businesses. She wants to do what she can to help support our troops.
Through working as the Director of Operations for Post Status LLC, Talisha found that the main struggle for WordPress professionals was hiring good quality workers. Together we can bridge that gap, and support our troops.
We believe that support can look differently to every person. One way we show our support by offering training and job connections for our service men and women. We go the next step by offering mentorship programs, and connections.
